Whether it's pop-pilates, zumba, or classic aerobics, if you're leading a class through their work-out, you don't just need a thumping beat to get them through, but you need to make sure they can hear every word you say. Luckily, there's a bit of kit that can do both for you. The NewHank Aerobix rack mixer has definitely been built with gyms in mind. Hook up two microphones via either jack or XLR, and then connect two audio sources using the set of RCA inputs around the back. Activate the ducking function (which is usefully adjustable per microphone) and as soon as the system detects speech, the music will be very slightly lowered, so that your voice can be heard clearly. For even deeper control and clarity, an independent equaliser section has been provided for both the music and the connected microphones.
